Union Steamship Company Store This restored structure is one of the last buildings remaining from the Union Steamship Company's cottage resort. The store was built in the early 1920s, along with over a hundred cottages, and then converted into a private area in the mid 1950s. The resort closed soon after, as travel opened up in other places and travel dollars became less for most people. Many of the structures were demolished, but the store and a few cottages were revitalized. The store now houses a Greater Vancouver Regional District park reception centre, where maps and historic tours are available. Some of the cottages are suitable of overnight lodging.
